The increasing aesthetic demand from patients has significantly contributed to the development and establishment of methodologies and technologies aimed at creating digital renderings of the final outcome in dental treatments. This approach allows for a simple yet effective analysis of the patient's facial features, facilitating the creation of personalized treatment plans. Specifically, the use of digital planning represents a significant opportunity for the clinician, enabling to showcase an accurate preview of the final result to the patient from the early stages.
From an operational standpoint, smile design systems provide crucial support to the clinical-technician team, enhancing precision and predictability of the outcome. The flexibility of photographic rendering adapts to any working method, whether entirely digital, mixed, or purely analog, allowing the clinician to maintain their preferred workflow.
This technology is suitable for use in both the initial planning and communication with the patient and in the subsequent clinical phases, facilitating collaboration with the technician in assessing the validity of each operational step. Lastly, the use of digital rendering undeniably helps schedule treatment timelines and, consequently, reduces the margin of error in the overall duration of the procedure.
