Expectations from the dental treatments have changed and esthetics plays an important
role in defining the success of rehabilitation. Implant-based restorations are a clinical
challenge, especially in the aesthetic area. A successful implant reconstruction with
optimal esthetics consists of a visually pleasing prosthesis and complete and healthy
surrounding soft tissue.
Various surgical approaches are described in terms of timing of implant placement and
management of regenerative procedures for both hard and soft tissue management in the
aesthetic zone.
The fundamental basis for implant success begins with the placement of the implant in the
ideal restorative position. Today, planning the 3D position of the implant, producing the
guide for implant placement, and realizing this with our surgical techniques has become
part of our routine clinical workflow. In addition, we have the opportunity to increase our
clinical gains by shortening the treatment process and increasing patient comfort with predesigned
and manufactured temporary/permanent restorations.
The aim of this lecture is to give the precise, predictable, and clear workflow tips on how to
approach implant treatments in aesthetic zone. This workflow tips will lead to identify the
right patient selection, evaluation of the esthetic risk factors, choosing the right surgical
treatment approaches and the right prosthetic strategy to achieve optimal esthetic results
in long-term by planning and operating within digital workflow.
